Drum Magnets (Wet/Dry)

Medium Intensity Wet Magnetic Separator with Con-current tank

Magnetic drum separators have a wide range of applications. They are used in free-fall chutes or after a vibratory chute for powders (even fine powders), granulates, fibers and coarser product streams. They continuously and fully automatically separate ferromagnetic (Fe) particles, such as iron and steel.

A drum magnet is a stationary (180°) magnet segment, around which a stainless steel drum rotates. The magnet attracts magnetic particles that are in the product. The drum carries the attached particles with it to the bottom of the drum. Where the particles drop off and can be collected and carried away. For strongly magnetic particles, carriers are placed on the drum to ‘push’ the particles out of the magnetic field. The advantage of a drum magnet is that it is a continuous cleaning/separating system, in which it is not necessary to stop the product flow to remove the magnetic particles.

Dry Low Intensity Magnetic Separator (High Speed) Diameter Range: 381, 610, 915 & 1200mm Drum Width: up to 3000mm Stages: Single or Double Arrangement for feeding: gravity type feed hopper with adjustable gate for shorter drum widths, vibratory feeders for larger drum widths or with roll feeders. Direct Drive or V-Belt drive Particle Size: ranges from 0-25mm

Dry Medium Intensity Magnetic Separator Uses high energy Nd-B-Fe (Neodymium) rare earth magnet material to generate high surface intensity on the drum shell. Diameter Range: 381, 610, 915 & 1200mm Drum Width: up to 3000mm Stages: Single or Double Magnetic Intensity: up to 7000 Gauss, also available drums intensity of 2500 and 4000 Gauss Particle Size: Less than 20mm
